About Your Guide Helene Su

Helene Su is the creator of Visionary Somatic Dance™ — a methodology grounded in somatic science, ancient embodied wisdom and cross-cultural intelligence that helps coaches, healers and leaders reclaim their aliveness through the body.

Having navigated multiple cultural worlds herself, Helene understands what it costs to adapt, contain and shrink — and what becomes possible when you stop.  

She holds an MA in Dance and Somatic Wellbeing, is ISMETA registered, has presented at conferences across the UK and Europe, and has spent decades studying at the intersection of movement, identity and creative expression.  

Her work is for those who are done holding back — and ready to feel fully alive again.

I'm going to help you think about your body, expression and movement in a whole new way. There's no 'right' or 'wrong' way to do things - this is not a dance class in the traditional sense - no set moves to try and keep up with - this is about rediscovering your natural movement and free expression that then filters into other areas of your life. 

Yes. When your body relaxes, your neural pathways open. There is science behind it, and movement can encourage divergent thinking.

Our emotions are our gifts that show us we can feel.

Whilst I aim to hold a space of lightness and joy, there may be some layers that need to be worked through to get to that place (and hey we are all continual works in progress).

When we've been holding onto emotions that have been buried or held back, this energy is in our cells and it is inevitable that things may come to the surface when we move. We may feel very awkward, and then later on, experience a beautiful, carthartic release. My intention is always to hold a safe space - however, you must take responsibility for your own self-care.
